"Disabled? There are only obstacles when you can't look over them." This is Monique Kalkman's motto, four times world and Paralympic champion and the only female Paralympic athlete in two different individual sports: table tennis and wheelchair tennis. During her sports career she also planned her social future. After her sports achievements ze expanded her work to a successful international marketing career. Monique was fourteen years old when paralysis from her waist down changed her life, caused by a tumour in her back. A number of major surgeries and two years of chemo therapy followed.
Monique made a challenge out of a setback, embraced new situations and altered them into positive characteristics. 

The important lessons of her disease, sports and social career, still make her expanding her boundaries. In an interesting manner she divides her way to the top into sports, career experiences, vision, planning, analyzing, setting realistic goals, discipline, couching, commitment and teamwork.
